Yesterday was the release of the second single, “Get Back,” which is performed by Diggy Simmons, Ashton Travis, and Mike Jaggerr.
Diggy Simmons, one of Rev Run’s young sons, is an up-and-coming rapper who signed with Atlantic Records last year, was featured in XXL’s 2011 Freshmen issue, and just performed at the 2011 Bamboozle Festival. Ashton Travis is a rapper/songwriter from TX who won the 2010 Hip Hop Unplugged competition and who also happens to be a first generation American and a student at Howard University. Mike Jaggerr, a new hip-hop artist/producer based in Brooklyn released his debut mixtape “The Eleventh Hour” in January and was chosen as The Source’s “Unsigned Hype” in their April issue.
