CAREER DAY AT PRESTIGE ACADEMY Recap

This past Friday we had the opportunity to speak to the youth at Prestige Academy School for Boys for their career day in Wilmington, Delaware. Thanks to Miss. Adrienne, Erin Hutt and all the staff for having us there. Its our responsibility to pass the knowledge back down so they can be successful.

When it comes to sneaker culture, we at color of life live and breathe it. But this time LACEDSNEAKERCO teamed up DELAWARE87ers to show case dope sneaker culture. The event was held at the University Of Delaware Bob Carpenter Center. The sneakerheads came out with heat that many can only see on the release date or on the blogs. The hot topic every sneakerhead was politicing about was the yeezy and jordans but if you was searching you might of found some exotic kicks made by some folks from Delaware who are heavy into the game. TRANSCENDENCE by JET PHYNX

Our favorite Delaware artist Jet Phynx is releasing a new mix tape in 2016 called "TRANSCENDENCE." We had the opportunity of photographing the cover for the mix-tape. It will consist of 16 songs from my best 3 un released hip hop albums. The album tells a story of who Jet Phynx really is. Parris, the man, the father, the son who has battled between good n evil. All real stories that his father would be proud of. No gimmicks just facts.

The songs go from dark to light but people will get the chance to see the man behind the shades. The songs will also come with videos as well. Similar to what Beyoncé did with her self titled album. It was almost like a movie with a soundtrack. But over all it could be a great platform for the music, videography, and fashion styling.

We had the opportunity to capture sneaker culture at LACEDSNEAKER SHOW this past weekend in Newark, Delaware. The show was intense with alot of little hustlers moving deadstock kicks. A couple weeks back we got commissioned to photograph The MIDATLANTIC WINE + FOOD Festival The first event was "A Taste Of Brazil Lunch" at Rehoboth Beach’s newest international restaurant, opening soon by Meg Hudson, former partner of Wilmington's Domaine Hudson. The wine maker Patricia Carraro presented Lidio Carraro from Brazi and Seaford Moqueca by Chef Abde Dahrouch.

The Festival is the beneficiary of a generous two-year capacity-building grant from the Longwood Foundation. MidAtlantic Wine and Food Festival, Limited, is a Delaware nonprofit.

PRODUCT PHOTOGRAPHY: "KIDD'S CHICKEN AND WAFFELS"

When it comes to good breakfast in the morning Kidd's Chicken and Waffles is the place to be. We had the opportunity to shoot product shots and taste the classic dish and we must say very good. Kidd's Chicken and Waffles was establish in 2013 on the east side of Wilmington Delaware where Kendal was raised. As a young kid Kendal was proud to say he was from a section of Wilmington called the Downtown, where there was always a food spot. With the likes of Smitty's which was located on 2nd & popular to Chicken Charlie's. Along with the famous Lucy's which was known for the Lacy's Chicken fingers, he just wanted to give back to the community by providing a good food service. After research and returning from living in Atlanta, GA, Kendal discovered that the Pennsylvania Dutch were eating a version of chicken and waffles where they boiled or roasted it then shredded and put on top of the waffles with gravy instead of frying there chicken.  Kiddschickenandwaffles is open Monday-Thursday 8am-8pm Friday-Saturday 8am-10 / Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner so come out for some good food.
